The mission of SP-Innotive is to develop and manage the construction of machines and mechanical installations in the broadest sense possible. The functional requirements for each industry are different. Therefore the wishes, ideas and background of the customer is important and emphasized, by using a practical approach. This results in a design that meets all the requirements. There is sufficient knowledge, within SP Innotive for the most complex and high quality designs. There are many years of experience in the offshore industry, where the specific requirements from third parties like Lloyd's and Det Norske Veritas play a major role. This knowledge extends to the workshop floor and gives practical advantages. For example by knowing what the consequences are for the welders and their qualifications, when using an exotic a piece of material in a design. SP-Innotive also takes into account issues such as the relationship between the angle of a weld preparation and the welding time, the consequences of an over accurate tolerance for the machining and the impact on the assembly time of unnecessarily complicated designs. The success of a product is partly the technique, but the costs play an equal important role and are often largely defined on the drawing board.
